Injured workers demonstrated their determination for social justice
again
on this Injured Workers' Day,the 23rd anniversary of the day
when over 3,000 workers gathered at the Legislative Assembly to participate in public hearings on
workers' compensation.
In large numbers, injured workers' organizations, labour groups and their
supporters held demonstrations across the province to call for social justice and the long
overdue changes to workers' compensation needed to properly address injured worker poverty.
